Colors of Indian Flag - Saffron, White & Green

Every nation in the world has its own flag which is representing not only the country, it is also a medium to communicate, through its colors and pictures.


'Tricolor- The National Flag of India' was adopted in its present form during meeting of constituent assembly held on July 22nd, 1947 and its designed by 'Pingali Venkayya'.


Mr. Venkayya was an Indian freedom fighter and the designer of the flag on which the Indian national flag was based.





As you already know that Indian National flag has horizontal tricolor bands, in the ratio of 2:3, and the navy blue wheel, which is called 'Ashok Chakra' in the center of white band, representing the strength and ideology of the country.


The top band of Saffron color, indicating the strength and courage of the country.

The White color middle, indicates, peace and truth, as mentioned above.

The Green band shows the fertility, growth, and auspiciousness of the land.
